My Fitness Philosophy

My training mantra has always been: Do it from the inside out! For me, fitness isn't about aesthetics or looking hot, it is an essential tool to help me to be the happiest person I can be. The fitness journey of loving your body and looking after yourself is how I achieve that happiness every day. The body that makes me feel the best is a fit one which leads to confidence. It is about knowing I am strong, capable, and empowered. When you are comfortable and confident in your own skin, it opens your world to endless possibilities of connection, love and joy. And that's what it's all about! Feel good, do good, repeat every day for maximum happiness gains.

The greatest human outlet I learned was how to transfer my emotions into energy. Exercise will forever be my emotional release first and foremost. My performance and my natural competitiveness fuels my daily training goals of getting stronger, faster, better. The "aesthetics" is last on my list and is almost just a byproduct of training. If you are training to look a certain way, you may be looking at the mirror and critiquing your physical appearance by wishing you could change this and that. I can tell you that you will never be satisfied. That is the fastest way to be discouraged and even quit. What I have found to be very empowering and helps me train is focusing on how it makes you feel and appreciate the progressive satisfaction of what your body can do. By doing so, I guarantee, you'll never quit - fight for yourself!
